Handle errors without guessing.

| 400 | Invalid request or cursor. | Check parameters against the API reference. |
| 401 | Missing, expired, revoked or invalid key. | Check the key and expiry in your dashboard. |
| 403 | Browser transport or scope rejected. | Call from your agent backend without Origin or cookies. |
| 404 | Unknown endpoint or message unavailable to this mailbox. | Use a message ID returned by your mailbox list. |
| 503 | Service temporarily unavailable. | Retry reads with bounded exponential backoff. |
Mailbox setup
If setup is interrupted, refresh the dashboard and select Retry. The backend retains the same request. If the handle is confirmed unavailable, the form lets you choose another one.
One-time keys
If key creation finishes but its response is lost, retrying returns that key’s metadata without revealing its secret again. Revoke that key and explicitly create another one if you did not receive the secret.
